I serendipitously ended up attending “Who Shot Rock & Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present” exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum this last week. Although insanely crowded (very appropriate considering the subject matter), the breath of the show was impressive- from fans to album covers to editorials to Courtney Love Polaroids. While walking around the exhibit for 10 minutes TOPS I managed to overhear 4 conversations about Fugazi, 1 conversation about Amy Winehouse, and a lot of museum-ly “humphs”. Go Brooklyn.
